CEHO is committed to providing quality and sustainable education and improving the health of the underprivileged children of the Chibolya community and its surrounding areas.
Guiding Principles and Beliefs
- All individuals are equal and have a right to education, good health, and active participation in the society
- Education is the best and the most effective tool to eradicate poverty and improve the standard of living of all the children in the community
- All the activities of CEHO will be based on and will meet the needs of the children and the community
- Empowerment is the main component of all activities and is vital to sustain the future of the individuals (involved), the community, and CEHO
- CEHO will live and breath the children and the community of Chibolya
Goals and Objectives
- Reduce the vulnerability of community members through the improvement of education and health
- Promote quality education and health care services to the vulnerable, disabled, and orphans
- Provide care and support for HIV/AIDS orphans and vulnerable children
- Increase literacy rates in Chibolya for both children and adults in order to empower the residents economically and socially
- Eradicate poverty from the community by providing children, women, and men with skills training for income generation (IGA)
- Improve socioeconomic development of all the members of the Chibolya community
- Lay a foundation for the positive interaction between the disadvantaged and wealthy members of the community
- Increase self-confidence, self-respect, and self-esteem among the disadvantaged children and the community members
- Increase awareness in the community to reduce high levels of HIV and AIDS in the community
- Represent Zambia and other related bodies the interests of those involved in education and health
- Encourage dialogue between the education and health sectors and the public on matters of mutual concern and interest
- Promote a better learning and health environment for children in rural, semi-urban and urban schools
- Acquire program funding through corporate, government, and/or organizational grants and financial support
